Michiel Wijnen studied Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. Although educated in Industrial Design he always had a deep-rooted affinity for Interior, Furniture and Lighting Design. Working with the world´s most prominent brands as Designer and Design Director for Edwardvanvliet®, he contributed to build this studio to become a leading name in the fields of Furniture, Lighting and Hospitality Design, before opening his own studio in 2017.

Studio Michiel Wijnen® is an office for Interior and Product Design, based in the Amsterdam area, The Netherlands. The multidisciplinary and collaborative studio creates concepts in close dialogue with its clients, capturing the core essence. “An interior has to fully support in what you do, it also has to breathe who you are.” The studio´s strong sense of aesthetic balance, personal touch and expertise in Hospitality Design, are powerful tools in finding that balance for its clients, creating a new perspective..
