Michiel Wijnen studied Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. Although educated in Industrial Design he always had a deep-rooted affinity for Interior, Furniture and Lighting Design. Working with the world´s most prominent brands as Designer and Design Director for Edwardvanvliet®, he contributed to build this studio to become a leading name in the fields of Furniture, Lighting and Hospitality Design, before opening his own studio in 2017.

Studio Michiel Wijnen® is a design studio with a focus on Hospitality and high-end Residential Design, based in the Amsterdam area, The Netherlands. The multidisciplinary and collaborative studio creates concepts in close dialogue with its clients, capturing the core essence.

Our approach is holistic. We specialize in crafting comprehensive interior designs from conception to realization. Our team brings extensive experience and expertise to every stage of the design process. Additionally, we offer bespoke joinery, custom furniture and lighting, project management and creative direction. The studio´s keen sense of aesthetic balance, our personal approach and expertise in Hospitality Design are powerful tools for achieving harmony and offering a new perspective to our clients.
